We started as a speculative home builder based in the heart of Lafayette, LA. Since our beginnings, we have branched out to offer additional services for custom home building, commercial construction and home or business renovations as well. It is our mission to continue to challenge industry standards of quality and customer service, and meet the growing demand of our customer’s needs. Meet the Owners
Charlie Genin, Owner
Charlie has always called Acadiana home. He attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette for both his undergraduate degree in Marketing, as well as his Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Charlie gained invaluable experience in the oilfield as a financial analyst, which gave him a solid foundation for starting The Gen Group Construction, with his business partner and father-in-law, Robert Daigle. Charlie prides himself on The Gen Group Construction being a family business; he knows that without being present, being hands-on on job sites, and without the support of his family, and team of employees, The Gen Group wouldn’t be what it is today!
Robert Daigle, Owner
For over two decades, Robert has been successful with land development in the gulf south, and other regions in Louisiana/Mississippi. Creating mixed-use and traditional neighborhood developments, Robert is very aware of the type of quality construction that it takes to see communities thrive. When family brought these two together, both Charlie and Robert saw an opportunity to pursue both of their passions: building the types of homes that ensure the success of the communities they serve.
